The Royal Lahaina Resort can arrange everything for intimate or lavish wedding parties, including ocean front receptions under balmy skies.

Planning a wedding from afar can be very challenging. Most newlywed couples-to-be use the services of a wedding consultant to ensure their big moment is perfect in every way. Everything can be prearranged, whether it’s securing an officiant for the ceremony, locating that perfect, hidden beach or garden, deciding on the wedding reception, setting the floral arrangements, selecting the music, and finding accommodations for the wedding party. For those who want to do their own thing, it’s still a good idea to consult with local Hawaiian professionals to help guide you.

Getting a marriage license in Hawaii is easy. There are no residency requirements, no waiting period, and no blood tests.

Just show up at the proper office (health department office or marriage agent on each island) with proof of age, like a driver’s license or other valid I.D. form. You’ll fill out an application and pay $60 for the license, which is valid for 30 days. After your wedding, your marriage certificate will be mailed to you.

You can apply and pay online for the license in advance, however, both parties to the marriage must appear in person at the licensing office in Hawaii to receive the actual license. If you’re under 18, you will need further documentation. Go to the official State of Hawaii website for details at http://health.hawaii.gov/vitalrecords/marriage-licenses/.

While all of the major Hawaiian Islands can be perfect settings for your nuptials, two of the most popular spots are on Maui and Hawaii’s “Big Island.” Each is very different and each offers unique opportunities to begin your new lives together in Hawaiian style.

The Royal Lahaina Resort on Maui is situated on the finest stretch of beach on the island, while the Royal Kona Resort is perched right over the blue Pacific. Both offer spectacular views, magnificent sunsets, and extraordinary wedding coordinators to help you realize all of your wedding dreams.

Whether you wish for a lavish celebration or a small, private affair, the wedding coordinators at both resorts can assist with all of the planning from start to finish. Their personal attention will help bring your vision of this momentous time to life. They can handle everything from the ceremony to location to décor to entertainment to banquets to guest rooms.  In essence, you can throw away your to-do list and leave everything to these experienced wedding teams.

The beachfront Royal Lahaina Resort is located on 27 sprawling acres with vast lawns overlooking the magnificent ocean.  For a more intimate setting, the Royal Beach House has a private yard, a pool and a Jacuzzi – all located just a few steps from famed Kaanapali Beach.

A wedding at the Royal Kona Resort comes with your choice of eight beautiful oceanfront ceremony and reception venues set amongst the Big Island’s dramatic lava rock landscape. Each wedding venue encompasses its own unique style and setting. Go barefoot for a beach theme at one of its sandy locations or feel like royalty walking down a majestic green lawn at one of the lush tropical locations. Say your vows in a gazebo, under a bamboo canopy, on top of lava rock, or beneath a blossoming tree.

No matter the location you choose at either resort, each majestic venue offers panoramic views encompassing the sparkling blue ocean, tropical foliage, and first class service.  They can also handle all of the accommodations for your entire wedding party.

And, when the wedding is over, you can relax and enjoy your honeymoon in one of the most romantic settings in the entire world.  For more information, go to www.hawaiihotels.com.
